Thomas C. Seawell
Thomas C. Seawell, B.A. Dartmouth College (cum laude), LL.B. University of Colorado School of Law (1962). Mr. Seawell has been in private practice in Denver since 1962, except for 1967-68, when he served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Colorado. His practice has consisted primarily of commercial litigation in the federal and state courts, with particular emphasis in the last several years on creditor’s rights, bankruptcy litigation and commercial bankruptcy cases. Mr. Seawell was the first President of the Faculty of Federal Advocates and served on its Board of Directors from 1997-2000. He was Co-Chair of the Civil Justice Reform Act Advisory Group for the District of Colorado and has served as President of the Law Club of Denver, on the Board of Trustees of the Denver Bar Association and on the Board of Directors of Continuing Legal Education in Colorado, Inc. In law school, Mr. Seawell was Editor-in-Chief of the Rocky Mountain Law Review and selected for the Order of the Coif. Mr. Seawell has also chaired a number of committees of the Colorado Bar Association, including its Joint Management Committee, Law Office Technology Committee, and Internet Task Force.
